Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) - 18 ECTS

Regulations

Please account for the (strict) registration deadlines:

October 1st for the winter term.
April 1st for the summer term.

Registration will be reenabled June 2, 2024.

  • Students take courses in the compulsory catalog that are not a mandatory part of the regular curriculum of the program in which they are studying, nor have they been chosen as an elective (compulsory) course.
  • The courses are to be completed with the corresponding examinations, as a rule, the successful completion of the module examination.
  • The AISA Study Project includes the completion of a project task (assigned by the AISA scientists) as well as the presentation of a poster in the context of a joint poster session.
  • In addition, students choose one module worth 6 ECTS from the compulsory elective catalog. Here, crediting of a module already completed in the regular course of study to the extent of max. 6 ECTS is possible, provided it is one of the modules from the compulsory elective catalog.
  • A further prerequisite for obtaining the certificate is a presentation on a self-selected topic from the subject area of the course completed in the elective course.
  • Only one Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) can be completed. If you are interested in further courses, it is recommended that you take a Diploma of Advanced Studies, in which the courses completed so far in the CAS can be credited.

    • Machine Learning (6 ECTS)
  • Critically Reflecting on Intelligent Systems in Society (3 ECTS)

In addition, participation in the seminar Critically Reflecting on Intelligent Systems in Society (3 ECTS) and the AISA Study Project (3 ECTS) is mandatory. With your registration you will automatically be registered for these courses.
